McKenzie Summer Art Camp
We strive to teach children from ages 12-16 to appreciate art, while creating their very own masterpieces. With fun and exciting new ideas, the aspiring artists will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience using different mediums in art. The students will also expand their skills and knowledge in fine arts.
McKenzie Animation Camp
We offer older students with an interest in classical animation an opportunity to create their own characters and learn how to animate them. They will learn the process of designing a character, creating a story board, and will use a digital camera to take shots and record their story. Projects will then be uploaded to an online source where they can enjoy and share their creative work at any time.
Artists at McKenzie will have an opportunity to explore their creative potential, while discovering important eras in the classical and digital art worlds. These programs will encourage each student to do what they love!
The art and animation camps will begin each day at 9am and will run until 3pm. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of ten artists or animators. A healthy morning snack is provided, and students are asked to bring their own bagged lunch. Additional childcare services are available for an extra $8 / hour, for anyone whose schedule may conflict with these times. Please make special arrangements when registering your artist for camp.
Art Camp fee $145/week Animation Camp Fee $145/week - includes $25 non-refundable deposit fee.
