As one of McKenzie’s astute graduates, Chris Briand works in the Marketing Department at DAVIDsTEA, a Canadian specialty tea and tea accessory retailer based in Montreal, Quebec, with over 200 retail locations across Canada and the United States. As part of the creative team, Chris’ focus is in designing gift packaging and developing visuals for seasonal campaigns.

“I left McKenzie College with a solid foundation in packaging design as well as an eye for detail. File organization, efficiency, an understanding of dielines, and preparation of files for print were some of the many essential skills I learned and use every day.”

Graduating from the Graphic Design program in 2009, Courtney completed her internship with a local printing house and was immediately hired as their in-house Graphic Designer. Now, with over 6 years of design experience, Courtney works as a Experiential Designer alongside Urban Designers and Master Planners, completing projects that are unique and challenging.

After arriving in Canada from Malaysia, Tan wanted to pursue an education here but was inhibited by his English language abilities. After studying at McKenzie College, he has achieved his language goals, found employment and is now studying at his university of choice.

“When I arrived in Moncton a few years ago, my English fluency was lacking. After completing the English Skills Study program at the McKenzie College Language Centre, I can see much improvement and now I can speak, read and write English fluently. This allowed me to pursue my education at another local university and to follow my passion here in Canada.”

As an Associate Consultant and Junior Software Tester for SLI Global Solutions, Samantha is responsible for managing, creating, and executing test cases and scripts for client products. While completing her college internship at SLI, she received a job offer even before graduating from the Software Tester program at McKenzie.
