New partnership with Mount Allison University

PRESS RELEASE

McKenzie College and Mount Allison University are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the goal of establishing partnership agreements for an English Language pathway, academic cooperation and collaborative activities.

Graduates of identified McKenzie English Programs are recognized as meeting the minimum language proficiency requirements for acceptance to Mount Allison University.

With the agreement, the institutions will identify mutual marketing opportunities to recruit international students and share the benefits of the partnership with external partners such as international recruitment agents.

The institutions will exchange best practices in order to maintain the highest quality and up-to-date educational programming.

The Agreement is effective immediately and will continue for a minimum of three years.

McKenzie College has recently obtained accreditation from Languages Canada, and is one of only two accredited English language schools in the province of New Brunswick, and one of two hundred and twenty public and private institutions across the country.  Languages Canada is the premier language education association that is recognized internationally for program excellence. The program at McKenzie College specializes in all levels of English language training with a focus on English for business and academic purposes.

Mount Allison has been ranked as Canada’s #1 undergraduate University by Maclean’s magazine a record 18 times over the past 25 years, and offers 40 programs in liberal arts and science education with students from more than 50 countries. This agreement will allow the University to expand its international reach.

The recruitment of international students is seen as an economic driver and benefit to the region, and is part of both provincial and federal governments’ strategies and initiatives.
