$1000 Visual Arts Scholarship

The McKenzie Art Gallery is offering five $1,000 entrance scholarships for Moncton area students entering full-time Visual Arts Programs.

Scholarship funds apply to tuition fees only.

Eligibility

Students must be graduating from Grade 12 in January 2010 or June of 2010 and must enter the full-time post-secondary Visual Arts Foundation Program at McKenzie College.


Application Process

The following materials must be included with the application:

  • A one-page personal profile letter describing your ambitions, goals, personal and career objectives, and the reason you want to pursue the visual arts.
  • Two reference letters. One must attest to your skills and abilities related to the visual arts program to which you are applying

John D. Thompson Memorial Scholarship

McKenzie College is pleased to announce the establishment of the John D. Thompson Memorial Scholarship for Graphic Design students who wish to study at McKenzie College and pursue a career in Graphic Arts. This $5000 post-graduate scholarship will help offset the cost of a high quality education and will be available to students who wish to change careers in order to follow a dream and "Do What They Love".

How to Apply

Applications are received and reviewed by a scholarship committee at McKenzie College on an ongoing basis.

Who Can Apply

Candidates who wish to pursue a Diploma in Graphic Design at McKenzie College, Moncton, N.B. You must have a recognized Diploma or Degree in an area other than Graphic Design and been out of school for at least one year.

Applications are received and held until the scholarship is awarded. All candidates will be notified when the scholarship is awarded. You may apply the following year if you decide to further your education.

Portfolio

Candidates must demonstrate an aptitude for Graphic Arts and show creative and artistic potential. Please consult the school for more information on Portfolio requirements.

Financial Need and Personal Profile

Candidates must provide a personal profile letter that details their background, interests and financial need. The scholarship committee will assess all applications based on Portfolio, Personal Profile letter, and personal interview and select an appropriate candidate annually.
