English & Adventure Summer Camp

  • McKenzie College 100 Cameron Street, Suite 101 Moncton, NB Canada (map)

2 sessions of 3 weeks each summer!

International High school students Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12, interested in improving their command of English while having a blast in Atlantic Canada can enjoy 3 weeks in July and 3 weeks in August in Moncton, Canada. Accommodation is provided through a university campus at a location in Moncton near the College and includes meals (breakfast, lunch, supper).

In the mornings, English classes focus on sharpening students’ command of academic English, with critical essay writing techniques, speaking on key social and academic-related topics (including art), reading, and listening, geared toward their university or college entry needs (students need not prove English ability to register, but they will be given placement tests and grouped accordingly). Note that McKenzie is accredited by Languages Canada and students may be given credit by their High School for this intensive course. Students also receive a certificate of participation.

“Some memories are magical. A trip to Canada, in beautiful New Brunswick, in Moncton City creates some of the most unforgettable memories. See you in 2018!”

In the afternoons, the program includes visits to local parks, museums, city festivals and activities and creative or sporting competitions, as well as meeting with other summer camps, which may include singing competitions, science demonstrations, kayaking, going to the beach, and much more. We visit the Hopewell Rocks, Fundy Park, Joggins Fossil Park, the Moncton Zoo, Butterfly World, Magnetic Hill Magic Mountain Water Park, Parlee Provincial Park, Moncton artisan village, Inspire Festival, Centennial Park. Activities may include a Singing Competition, Make-your-own T-Shirt Workshop, Goodbye Party & BBQ, and many more, as permitted by weather. Please note that some activities may change with short notice.
